• Isla Silver jewellery is designed in our studio in Devon, England.

• Once designed, pieces are produced by our master craftsmen and artisans in our workshop in Jaipur, India. Each piece is made in small batches and passes through the hands of multiple artisans.

• We use sterling silver,
  ethically sourced gemstones, and for certain pieces, gold vermeil or gold‑fill
  / 18K / 14K gold plating, depending on the design. Some pieces also
  include freshwater pearls, brass, or other mixed metals. 

“Gold vermeil” refers
to a thick layer of real gold (often 18 karat) over a base of sterling silver,
with stricter standards around the thickness of the gold layer than standard
gold‑plating. It tends to be more durable and higher quality than thin gold‑plated

• Yes. Many of our pieces are
  made from sterling silver.

• Sterling silver marked
  “925” means that the metal is 92.5% pure silver, with the rest being
  alloy metals to give strength, durability, and finish.

• Gold content varies
  depending on the piece: some pieces are described as 18KT gold vermeil, others
  use 14KT gold fill or 18KT plating.

• While we always strive to use high-quality metals and responsibly sourced materials, if you have a known metal sensitivity (especially to alloy metals) it’s best to check the product details for each item or contact us directly for advice.

“Mixed metals” refers to jewellery that combines two or more different metal types or finishes in a single piece — such as sterling silver paired with gold vermeil, or silver with brass accents. • Standard Second Class UK deliveries are dispatched within 1-2 working days. International orders are also dispatched within 1-2 working days.
